As a kid, I could lose myself for hours imagining epic adventures, thanks to all the movies, stories, and comics
I read back then. Today, I draw those stories, hoping to share with others the same spark of wonder they gave me.

Hi, I’m Ruben Candel

I’m a Illustrator and Visual Developer Artist based in Spain. My main passion is drawing as a vehicle to tell stories.

I’ve created visual concepts for a variety of companies, worked as a children’s book illustrator, and served as a 2D artist for video games. I’ve also collaborated as an assistant on various comic projects, giving me a versatile background across different storytelling mediums.

I consider myself a versatile artist who loves to explore new styles and techniques—through courses, reading books on film and screenwriting, practicing storyboards, or diving into other crafts like ceramics, mural painting, screen printing, and painting on canvas. Just wish there were more hours in the day!
